  • *Be sure to complete boarding procedures 30 minutes before departure.
  • *All customers going on a cruise must fill out the boarding application form.
  • *If you have any checked baggage, special baggage (bicycles, motorized bicycles, and motorcycles), or intend to use the pet room, you must go through another procedure besides boarding.

Customers traveling by car

You will be required to park your vehicle at a specified location near the terminal. Be sure to have a copy of your vehicle inspection certificate ready when registering your vehicle to travel on the cruise.

  • *Vehicle travel registration procedures vary by cruise operators and ports. Please check the website of each cruise operator for details.

2. Embarkation

Customers traveling by foot

Please board the ship by following the instructions given over the Tannoy or by a crew member. If you have booked a private cabin, please exchange your boarding pass for a key at the front desk.

  • *Please keep your boarding pass in a safe place as you will need it when disembarking. Private cabin passengers can retrieve their boarding passes by returning the cabin key at the front desk.
  • *The piers do not have a boarding bridge, except Amami and Kagoshima. Gangways are used to embark.

Customers traveling by car

Please follow the instructions given by the guides to board the ship and park your vehicle at a designated spot.

  • *Fellow travelers must embark on foot from a separate boarding gate.
  • *No one is allowed to stay on the vehicle deck or in their vehicle while the cruise ship is traveling. Please have any hand luggage you may need on-board ready for conveying as soon as you park your vehicle.

3. Disembarkation

Customers traveling by foot

The preparations for disembarkation may take some time after docking. Please wait by the doors or your cabin until the announcement for coming ashore.

  • *The number of boarding passes recovered gives the actual headcount of disembarking passengers. Be sure to hand your boarding pass to a crew member when alighting.

Customers traveling by car

Only drivers may disembark in their vehicles. Fellow passengers must alight on foot.
Please be extra careful when riding your vehicle as the vehicle deck may become congested and hazardous during disembarkation.
